At the Society of Construction Law Conference in Leeds on Friday 3 March, Matthew Garratt, Commercial Director at Costain and NEC consultant and board member, announced the upcoming launch of the new NEC4 suite of contracts.
Produced in response to government initiatives such as BIM and a drive to reduce cost and time, NEC4 is billed as an evolution of the NEC contract suite, not a revolution. The current NEC3 contracts will all be updated, with a further two new contracts added.
