Leadership in health and safety - sector-wide review of guidance

17 July 2017      Cheryl Pick, Projects and Engagement Manager

Dear members,

It is just over 18 months since the USHA launched the leadership and management of health and safety in higher education institutions guidance document. For reference here is the guidance document.

USHA guidance

USHA has undertaken a review exercise through its own membership. This is standard practice for its publications 12 to 18 months post-launch.

Given the wider impact however of this guidance, a sector-wide review was deemed appropriate. This has been reflected by its setting as first-year objectives for both USHA's current strategic plan and the sector's health, safety and wellbeing strategy.

USHA now welcomes your contributions to the review.

This offers opportunity to learn of local initiatives under the guidance and thoughts outside of the sector's health and safety fraternity on the impacts and differences these initiatives have made.

Here is the link to the web-based questionnaire. It should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

Please provide your feedback by emailing Mark Swales M.Swales@shu.ac.uk by the 14th August.
