Future Professional Directors Programme

30 November 2018      Corinne Merriman, Events Manager

Future Professional Directors (FPD) is a unique programme for colleagues in professional services from all areas of the institution. The programme offers an extended, nine-month engagement with carefully tailored active and reflective learning activities.  Some of the centrepiece activities include a live case study with a university team, an immersive business simulation exercise with feedback, and a strategic dialogue contrasting four different sector perspectives.

Developed in partnership with nine sector bodies, it builds the confidence and skills needed to lead successfully within and across professional services and the wider institution. You will learn how to manage challenges such as organisational politics, as well as benefit from action learning sets, diagnostic support to identify leadership and management styles, plus valuable peer networking opportunities. FPD will be relevant to members of the following sector bodies who have partnered with Advance HE to ensure FPD specifically meets the needs of professional service staff:  AMOSSHE AUDEAHUAARCBUFDGHESPASCONULUCISA, and UHR.

The next cohort will begin with Module One on Wednesday 13 – Friday 15 March 2019. The programme then runs through to November 2019. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 13 February 2019.
