It's time to reinvigorate Space!

Are you passionate about space management within Higher Education? Do you have fresh ideas and a desire to make a lasting impact? We’re excited to announce an opportunity to reinvigorate the AUDE Space Management Group Committee! We're looking for enthusiastic new members to bring fresh ideas and energy to create innovative solutions for managing our space sustainably across UK & Ireland’s universities.

The group is currently chaired by Helen Wallace, Assistant Director of Estates at the University of Exeter and was co-chaired by Scott Lloyd from University of Warwick who is stepping down. The group has the full support of AUDE's dedicated in-house team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to:

  • Lead Change: Drive solutions to pressing space management issues, influencing policies and strategies in the HE sector.
  • Shape the Agenda: Contribute to national discussions, aligning space management with the future needs of universities.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside like-minded professionals from diverse institutions, expanding your network and gaining new insights.
  • Enhance Your Impact: Help create content for AUDE’s “A Place for Space” website, representing the space management community’s voice on a national level.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking proactive members to form a tight-knit committee (up to 5). The position is open to all AUDE members and would suit people with knowledge and interest in space management but could be working in any relevant field. With a three-year term (with an optional extension), you’ll engage in a variety of exciting activities, including:

  • Developing and curating resources tailored to members’ needs.
  • Shaping the AUDE national strategy and advising on future work streams.
  • Speaking at events and conferences and liaising with the press.

Commitment and Support

Your time with the AUDE Space Group Committee will include:

  • Four committee meetings annually (mostly virtual).
  • Leading project groups and sub-committees, amounting to around 10 sessions per year.
  • Regular reviews of key documents and active involvement in shaping our direction.
  • Additional meetings for the Group Chair, including AUDE’s Executive Committee meetings and the AGM.

We value your commitment and will provide full support and induction, with assistance from our fantastic team, including our Executive Director, Strategic Projects Manager, and Communications Manager.
