Session 10: Being an LGBTQ+ ally

Time: 12pm - 1pm

The LGBTQ+ community has a long history of fightin for their rights and a daily battle to face discrimination. This fight must not be fought alone. As we progress our conversations around inclusion, it becomes increasingly clear that the groups who are and have been historically marginalised should not be the ones always leading the fight for change if true progress is going to be made.
If you consider yourself an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, this webinar will allow you to continue that journey to making a true difference!

This webinar will explore:

  • What allyship means;
  • How you can be an ally to the community or to any LGBTQ+ individual;
  • How your support can make a huge difference to someone’s experience!

    You will understand what it takes to create a space of psychological safety, with techniques shared on how to intervene and challenge exclusion. We will also explore how LGBTQ+ people can use their voice and be allies to those within the community who are not given the same space and platforms to have their story told and their experience recognised.
