Reward Made Simple – A Focus on Estates and Facilities
Reward has rocketed up the agenda for many institutions as an integral element to addressing challenges with recruitment, retention, and the employee experience. In reality, the pressures due to outdated pay and grading structures can arguably be felt greatest in Estates and Facilities teams. This session will deliver a crash course that will empower you with the essential knowledge of where we are now, how we got here and where we might go next. Speaker: Emma Brookes, Strategic Projects and Resources Manager, Universities Human Resources (UHR)
Emma has worked in HR roles at Further and Higher Education Institutions for 17 years; most recently at the University of Salford where she spent four years as a Reward Specialist responsible for the development and delivery of the University's strategic direction for pay, reward and benefits. Since joining UHR in 2021 as a Strategic Projects and Research Manager, Emma has been working on a range of projects to benefit members with a focus on reward, engagement, hybrid working and wellbeing. Emma is also active in the CIPD and is the Chair of the Manchester branch.
