Alexandra Pike, Partner, Mills & Reeve LLP
Alex is an experienced lawyer specialising in construction and engineering law for education and other public sector clients. Her work includes the drafting and negotiation of all building and infrastructure contracts. She advises on all of the standard forms of construction contract, as well as preparing bespoke contracts and appointments to suit clients’ specific requirements. She has advised a number of institutions on building safety. She also advises on construction and engineering disputes and uses this experience for clients throughout the life of a project to help the client team efficiently and cost effectively manage projects. Alex is mentioned in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. She is listed in Legal 500 as a Next Generation Partner.
Stuart Pemble, Partner, Mills & Reeve LLP
Stuart is a construction specialist and heads a team of lawyers who help clients with the drafting and negotiation of all types of construction and engineering documents. He works with clients across the public and private sectors. His key strength is helping clients to procure new buildings and is currently advising on projects with a capital value of over £1 billion. Stuart is a member of PLC Construction’s consultation board, the Society of Construction Law, the Technology and Construction Solicitors Association and is a Fellow the Forum for the Built Environment. He is one of the editors of Estates Gazette’s long-standing Legal Notes section, with responsibility for construction law and professional negligence cases. He has given a number of presentations on building safety.
Richard Noble, Partner, Mills & Reeve LLP
Richard works extensively as a real estate lawyer in the higher education sector and has over 20 years’ experience supporting universities with their operational estates, development projects and investment properties. Richard helps universities manage the complex issues surrounding major operational premises relocation as well as working with universities to improve their existing premises and dispose of surplus premises. Richard is the principal property contact within the firm for Kingston University, The University of Cambridge, The University of Westminster, King’s College London, the Royal Veterinary College, The School of Oriental and African Studies, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Peterhouse (Cambridge), TEDI – UK, The University of Northampton, Bournemouth University, and the British Council, and supervises all the property work undertaken for them.
